Mode of action of various additives
Cleaning processes can be made more efficient through the use of additives. The targeted application of additives makes it possible to develop customized cleaning solutions for specific requirements in industrial cleaning and to achieve optimum cleaning performance. The result: greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Performance-enhancing additives: These additives increase the cleaning efficiency of neutral solutions, for example by increasing solvent power or accelerating the removal of impurities. They can interact synergistically with the cleaning components to enhance the effectiveness of the solution.
Emulsifiers or dispersants: These additives help maintain stability and homogeneity in the neutral solution by facilitating emulsification of fats, oils or other poorly soluble compounds. They help suspend or disperse the impurities in the solution for more efficient purification.
Wetting agents: These additives reduce the surface tension of the neutral solution to achieve improved wetting of the surfaces to be cleaned. This allows the cleaning components to more effectively penetrate pores, crevices or porous materials for more thorough cleaning.
Corrosion inhibitors: Corrosion inhibitors can be used as additives to prevent or reduce the formation of corrosion on metallic surfaces. They protect the materials to be cleaned from unwanted reactions with the solution and maintain their integrity.
