Corrosion inhibitors against the attacks of acids

The use of acids can affect the material of your plant. That is why we offer suitable corrosion inhibitors that ensure effective protection – matched to the acid and material in question.

Our LITHSOLVENT inhibitors are characterized by their exceptional yield. Upon request, we will determine the mass removal values with and without inhibitor for you in the laboratory in order to numerically record the subsequent protective effect in your system.

The surfactants contained in our LITHSOLVENT inhibitors help the acid to infiltrate scales. The reaction of the acid with the metals produces hydrogen gas, which blasts the scales from the substrate. As soon as the metal surface is exposed, the inhibitor will protect it from further attack by the acid. At the same time, detached dirt particles are dispersed.

LITHSOLVENT 620

for hydrochloric acid as well as hydrofluoric acid mixtures and temperatures up to 90 °C, protects normal steels, special steels (e. g. superheater and low-temperature steels), copper-based alloys, cast iron (up to max. 40 °C).

LITHSOLVENT CS

Inhibitor for the protection of all metallic materials commonly used in boiler and plant construction in acid solutions (amidosulfonic, hydrofluoric, phosphoric) and organic acids. With formic acid u. citric acid up to 90 °C, with amidosulfonic acid up to 60 °C.

LITHSOLVENT CL4

For chemical cleaning with hydrofluoric acid solutions to remove rust, scale and magnetite (Fe3O4) from boilers, production equipment, piping systems, etc. as well as in the circulation and continuous process and in the cleaning of boilers, pipelines, etc. with organic acids. For  hydrofluoric acid/phosphoric acid up to 90 °C, for amidosulfonic acid/organic acid up to 60 °C.

LITHSOLVENT EB

For the protection of all common metallic materials based on iron and copper, during chemical cleaning with hydrofluoric acid and its mixtures with organic acids as well as acid salts of EDTA (ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid) at temperatures up to 80 °C.

The products shown on our website are only a selection of our entire product range. There is no universal remedy for the rapid removal of impurities. Some can be removed well with alkaline agents, others better in the acidic range. The large variety of conceivable cleaning problems and the large number of additives, inhibitors and ready-to-use cleaning solutions offered by us make it advisable to obtain detailed advice before starting cleaning.
